This is what going on with my eye. More specifically the left one. Yuh talk bout pain! Yuh TALK bout hurting! So yuh girl pick up sheself and went by the doctor this morning - after missing work yesterday. Before allyuh say anything that is just a picture ah get off de net. Mine bigger than that and the whole bottom lid swollen and ah kyah see properly. So doh start with no, "fuh dat lil ting" talk. Right, so anyway, the receptionist at the doctor informs me they doh walk ins and they doh do emergencies, how yuh have to make an appointment to see a doctor. Now, she doing me a favour and squeezing me in this afternoon, but if it wasn't for that the soonest I could see a doctor was - wait for it - next week. Next week yuh know! I coulda have time LOSE my damn eye by then. The thing is, yuh kyah just go to any doctor. Yuh hafta go to the doctor they assign you to according to where yuh living. You ever see more?! The more time I spend in this country the better Trinidad seems yes. So anyway, lemme go and rest meh damn eye yes. Allyuh, write meh nah. Although ah mightn't be able to read too good at the rate things going... And 'rah, give yuh 'oman a call nah.Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Sorry to hear about your eye. Foreign air do not realy do good for we island people. From the time you leave home and live up here, is all kind of illness you come down with.
So did they say what was causing it. Probaly allergies?

Ok hottie I figure it out. Hope your eye is getting better. I remember a couple of months ago it was your hand. A nice good sea bath would be good about now to get that jumbie off your back. According to the old people.
Hmm, you gone some place so far different from where I am in Birmingham. Both my doctor and dentist still have same day appointments (a phone call is usually ample notice). Now they started a new thing; call them, and a doctor calls you back for a phone consultation. If you still need to go in, they see you in less than 1/2 hour. The phone call scenario eliminates people going in for things like repeat prescriptions etc. My pharmacy picks up the prescription at the doctor, fills it and delivers it to my door where the driver collects my cheque.
So if you need proper help, you know where to come. :-)
That being said, I hope your eye is better soon. Try not to bawl dong the place too much.

Hottie (almost use yuh rel name, had to stop mehself!) use vicks gyul. Put it by your eyebrows dey or high on your cheeks. The vapur helps keep the swelling down. It works for red eye, so it just might help!

Room limited right now gyul. Ent I mention in meh blog how meh mammy and meh sis surprise meh last Friday? Dey leave meh nephew in the pram outside, knock on de door and when I open it I seeing a strange lil fella staring at me. Hmph, and they tell me for months dey going NY for vacation, then turn up by meh door.
I didn even bathe yet, or cook. Serves dem right they had to eat plain dhal and rice.
According to Crankyputz, I shoulda be thinking bout a few women in meh past ... :-)

You know I got that exact same thing on my eye a couple of days before I went to Trinidad for Carnival? I told myself that if it persisted, I would ask my friends in Trini to recommend a good doctor. But lo and behold, after 3 days in Trinidad that sucker was gone, gone GONE!!!
