Casino cravings

Allyuh, I in de middle of watching Casino Royale again. Here nuh. Dis is a BOSS movie. Now I is a die hard James Bond fan eh. From since girlhood. And although I was a fan of Remington Steel and although I am quite willing to be Pierce Brosnan's child mudder, I never liked him as Bond. I stopped watching Bond movies in his era. I was disappointed in Goldeneye and by the time the one with Teri Hatcher rolled around, well, that was the end of that. And even when they announced Daniel Craig I was like, huh? But whey de ass dey going with this. And with all the commess up here bout how he couldn't drive a stick etc, etc I was like, nah, they still eh get it right. But boy! Boy! BOY! Movie boy MOVIE! I only WISH I was in Trini when they release dis beast. Allyuh, ah gone again. Craigos calling meh.

P.S. Dat opening scene BAD eh!

It's supposed to be the 'first' Bond movie, the one where Bond is newly promoted to 00 status. I prefer the books, they deal better with the characters and relationships instead of fandaughter1194cy CGI for success.

That being said, Casino Royale is the very first Bond movie I have seen (available streaming online if you have a broadband connection and Divx player) and I am duly impressed. Still, that could be because of the nature of the movie - less gadgets and more Bond, the man, taking care of business.

Yeah. I thought it was a good means of introducing a new Bond, rather than picking up where the last one had left off. It's almost a clean slate for Craigos. I have to admit I've never read any of the Bond books. Which I surprising because I love that genre. Come to think of it, this is the first time I've seen a movie based on a book without having read the book first. I agree though; I think this movie works because it really gives you a chance to get to know Bond and what leads to him becoming the character he becomes.

I find the poker game didn't need to go on that long. But I liked the movie still
