So allyuh must be fed up reading this – and I certainly fed up typing it – but the net still down. Now the clowns that function as my service provider are telling me that something is wrong with my machine, that it seems like I downloaded some spyware onto my lappy tappy and that’s preventing me from connecting. Now, explain to me WHEN this would have happened since I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GO ON THE NET ALL WEEK, which is when they said it happened. I mean, really. I thought I’d left this sort of mediocre service back in Trinidad. It’s ridiculous that I can’t get a better response. Mind you, after I was told this I called back again to speak to another technician – hoping to get a second opinion – and voila! He told me there was STILL a fault with the system and that’s why I can’t connect. Who should I believe, the one who’s telling me I need to essentially wipe the system clean and reinstall every thing again or save myself the trouble and just buy a new laptop; or, should I go with the other one, who isn’t much better but at least his prognosis keeps me from having to sell a kidney on the black market to get back on the net.
And speaking about bad service, I am still waiting for a response from Pulse 8 and Island People about such simple things as:
When is registration?
When will the site be up so that I can view the costumes and
Will they be allowing online registration?
Seeing that I am waiting to hand over at least £300 to these people for my costume, the least I can do is get an email. Not even a “dog, cat, well, we don’t know but as soon as we decide we’ll pass it on”. I’m not even playing with Tribe and I keep getting updates from them. Really people, we need to put our collective foot down and stop accepting this mediocrity and lack of respect for our hard earned money. Look, I going and buy some garbage bags yes, lemme start to organise my band…
